Asya Ballantine

Educated at the University of Dundee and the University of Mainz, Asya has called Glasgow home for the past decade. She joined Keppie in November 2025 as an architect and she brings extensive experience in both the design and delivery of whisky distilleries and other complex industrial and mixed-use projects, guiding multidisciplinary teams from early concept through to successful handover with clarity and precision.

Away from the drawing board, Asya is a keen explorer of architectural and food-focused city breaks, with a particular fondness for ancient castles or remote Scottish islands. She is happiest in a hi-vis on site, rather than dressed up for an awards night, reflecting a practical, hands-on approach to her work. When closer to home, she can often be found in the garden or honing her skills in pottery and calligraphy – proof that a love of craft extends well beyond the workplace.
