After completing his part 1 at the MAC, Luke spent a year working in Glasgow and a year working for Rick Mather in London. Returning to Glasgow he completed his training at the MAC and has worked in the city ever since.
Luke has developed extensive experience in the education and residential sectors, working on projects as diverse as public realm masterplanning to transport interchanges. Recently he has specialised in large-scale medical research facilities including The Scottish Centre for Regenerative Medicine, for Edinburgh University, the Centre for Virus Research for University of Glasgow and the centralised facility the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service as well as specialist GMPc facilities for NHS Scotland. Luke continues, amongst others, to deliver projects for Glasgow University looking at opportunities to deliver efficiencies through new ways of learning and collaboration.
Luke was awarded Emerging Architect of the Year in 2008 at the Scottish Design and Roses Awards. Outside architecture his vice is cycling, though he doesn’t do it enough.
