Heather Macsween

Since joining Keppie in 2013, Heather has developed expertise in leading complex mixed use urban developments, combining her creative problem solving skills with a collaborative approach to guiding projects from concept through planning and delivery. She studied at the Mackintosh School of Architecture and was awarded a Leverhulme Scholarship to undertake an additional Masters in Creative Urban Practices at the Glasgow School of Art.

Heather believes successful architecture is created with clients, rather than for them. She particularly enjoys the early stages of projects, working with stakeholders to shape briefs, develop design concepts and build a shared vision to deliver lasting value for clients and communities.

Alongside her project work, Heather is passionate about supporting the next generation of Architects through mentoring. She is a member of the Glasgow Urban Design Panel, Visiting Lecturer at the MSA, ARB Prescribed Examiner and Part 3 Professional Examiner at several universities across the UK.
