Queen’s Garage Planning Approval

Keppie Design are delighted that their proposals for the affordable housing development at the former Queen’s Garage, Strathbungo have been approved by Glasgow City Council’s Planning Committee.

The proposals, advanced on behalf of Client A S Homes and Southside Housing Association, will involve re-development of the former Arnold Clark garage site to provide 50 flats for social rent and associated out-door amenity spaces. Giving the green light for development, Councillors noted the importance of providing much needed housing in such a sustainable location.

The approval marks the culmination of successful design and planning discussions with Glasgow City Council and will allow for the high-quality redevelopment of this prominent site in the south of the city.
