Recognising Talent and Welcoming New Experience

There’s plenty to celebrate at Keppie, with two well-deserved promotions and a new addition to the team! 🎉

Congratulations to Andrew Mackie, promoted to Associate Director, and Stephen Burns, who takes on the role of Associate.

Having both been with Keppie for more than 10 years, Andrew and Stephen have made significant contributions to the practice while embodying the collaborative culture that underpins our work.

Andrew’s promotion recognises his leadership and contribution to projects including Cultural Kilmarnock and Strathkelvin Retail Park. Reflecting on the promotion, Andrew said: “”I feel incredibly fortunate to have built my career at Keppie alongside talented colleagues, mentors and clients. I’m grateful to the Board for their confidence in me. For me, success has always been about more than delivering projects; it’s about supporting people, building lasting relationships and helping shape a stronger future for the business. I’m excited for what comes next.”

Stephen’s promotion reflects his growing leadership responsibilities, including his role as Zone B Lead on the Monklands project, and his commitment to improving standards across the practice. Looking ahead, Stephen said: “Having originally joined Keppie in 2012, it means a great deal to me to be able to repay the time, investment and trust that the company has placed in my professional development and I am very excited and motivated for this next stage of my career in becoming an Associate. Keppie is and continues to be a company that I am extremely proud to be part of and look forward to the exciting opportunities ahead.”

We’re also delighted to welcome Emily Lang, who joined Keppie this week as an Associate. Bringing 15 years of experience, Emily has led teams delivering large-scale, complex projects. On joining the practice, Emily said, “Having relocated from London, I am delighted to join Keppie who I consider to be one of the ‘best-in-class’ architectural practices.”
