Keppie Interior Design were appointed in 2005 to design a new workspace
for the Weir Groups top level management team. This new environment is
now complete and occupies the 4th floor of the Keppie designed Clydesdale
Bank Exchange building in Glasgow. Moving from their traditionally styled
Cathcart base, The Weir Group asked Keppie Interior Design to create a
flexible workspace to suit current and future work practice.
At a cost of over half a million pounds, a beautifully clean and inspiring
environment was created. Cellular office spaces are formed from 2.7 metre
high glass partitions, with ‘barcode’ type applied manifestations
for privacy. Feature walls clad in Beech Veneered panels offer quality
and warmth. Open plan workstations are separated by tambour units, enclosed
in large beech ‘goalposts’.
The project was completed on budget in 16 weeks from inception. |
