Maxim - the Ultimate Office Park |
|
The prestigious Keppie designed office campus at Eurocentral has been re-branded as ‘Maxim - The Ultimate Office Park’. The park, which aspires to be the leading business location in the UK, comprises 10 four-storey office pavilions arranged around a unique L-shaped, landscaped park. The development is being designed to BREEAM “very good” standards, and will include an extensive range of amenities including restaurants, bars, retail, a crèche, a gym, and even WiFi in all common areas. Keppie has designed highly engineered curtain-walled façades to contrast with the natural park setting and real drama is created by the south-facing louvered colonnades to the largest office buildings, which are over 240 metres long. Construction works are now progressing well on the 73,000m² development, with roofing works under way and vast steel frames rising from the site of the former Chungwa Picture Tubes factory. The single-phase construction is scheduled for completion in early 2010. Construction is being undertaken by Bowner and Kirkland, supported by consultants Struer, Hulley & Kirkwood, Gardiner & Theobald and Ironside Farrar. Keppie is providing architectural, masterplanning, landscape and interior design services |
