Keppie has been appointed by NHS Grampian for a masterplanning study for the Foresterhill Complex in Aberdeen which contains Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, Aberdeen Maternity Hospital and University of Aberdeen faculties.

The task is to set a vision for development of the site as an exemplar teaching hospital. As well as determining how the site can be rationalised as it develops over the next 20 years, it will address transportation and wayfinding issues and the location of support facilities such as retail, leisure and a patient hotel. The University is also exploring how research facilities can be developed.
