Keppie strengthens management team



Keppie is pleased to announce seven strategic appointments and promotions to the position of Associate, adding strength and delivery expertise across a number of key sectors.

Lindsay Allan is the local manager of Keppie's Inverness office and has particular knowledge and experience in the design of healthcare buildings as well as private and affordable housing design.

Ken Findlay joined the practice in July 2005 to strengthen and develop the PFI bid for the New Forth Valley General Hospital. He brings with him expertise in commercial and leisure developments in the UK, Europe, South Africa and the Middle East.

Eileen McGhie started work at Keppie in 2001 and has spent much of her time working on several large scale PFI bids for healthcare projects including the shortlisted bid for the St. James University Hospital Project.

Yawar Shahzad has worked on a number of high profile design projects for Keppie Design including the Masterplan study for the Bio-Medical Research Park in Edinburgh. Yawar is also helping to implement Keppie's Internal Design Management Procedures.

Per Soderqvist is involved in developing concept design schemes and compiling tender documents for a number of commercial projects. A project he is currently involved in incorporates the demolition, refurbishment and new build of secure care accommodation.

Niall Murphy is the joint project leader on North Ayrshire Schools PPP. He is particularly interested in urban design issues and serves as a member of Glasgow City Council's Glasgow Urban Design Panel.

Paula van Dee has vast experience of education architecture and is the project architect for the Glasgow Primary Vision Project, a design and build contract for three new schools.

The 7 new Associates join the already strong management teams working throughout all four of Keppie's Scottish offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth and Inverness. In support of these management activities, all 26 Keppie Associates took part in an Associates Conference and Dinner on Tuesday 30th August at the Dunblane Hydro Hilton.
