People

Martin joined Keppie in 1998 and became an Associate in 1999. He was appointed a Director with the responsibility of leading the Perth office in 2001.  This leadership role was further expanded to include Keppie Inverness following its opening in 2004.  Martin is a passionate ‘people person’ and a firm believer in the team and team spirit.

Martin trained at Robert Gordon University and completed his professional qualifications in 1990.  Since graduating he has amassed an extensive and diverse professional experience across a wide range and scale of project types.  This included time with ADF Partnership and Honeyman, Jack and Robertson, Glasgow.

His commitment, drive and determination have been widely recognised.  The Keppie Board appointed Martin Managing Director in 2008.  He is currently responsible for the overall practice direction and management, including ensuring that each location, strand and discipline works together constructively and creatively to further enhance and develop the Keppie reputation.

Martin’s problem-solving and interpersonal skills coupled with his clarity of vision are essential character traits as he undertakes the daily facets of his role, providing support and guidance to all Keppie strands and locations.  He is charged with taking Keppie forward, building on its long heritage. He leads the diversely skilled teams around him to achieve this; drawing on their personal characters, skills and internationality to positively influence Keppie, our services and our product.  This blend of skills and experience has consistently delivered outstanding designs and best value on a broad range of projects.
