David has been involved in healthcare design since the late 1980s. He joined Keppie in 1985.
In recent years he has advised public and private sector clients on major projects in Edinburgh, Leeds, Blackburn, Wakefield, Pontefract, Birmingham, Glasgow and Crosshouse.
David was involved in creating the NHS Achieving Excellence Design Evaluation Toolkit and, as a result, became the author of Quality Indicators in the Design of Schools (QIDS) on behalf of the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland.
He also wrote our practice history in 2004, when Keppie celebrated its 150th anniversary, and a book on Great Glen House, the Keppie-designed, award-winning Scottish Natural Heritage Headquarters in Inverness.
